Pip Value Calculator
Find out exactly what one pip is worth before you size a trade. Enter your lot size and pick the pair type — JPY pairs move on the 2nd decimal, everything else on the 4th. The result is in your account currency.
Quote → account rate is how much one unit of the pair's quote currency is worth in your account currency. Leave it at 1 when they match (e.g. a USD account trading EUR/USD).
FAQ
How is pip value calculated?
Pip value = pip size × position size in units × the quote-to-account exchange rate. For a standard lot of EUR/USD on a USD account, that's 0.0001 × 100,000 × 1 = $10 per pip.
Why are JPY pairs different?
For most pairs a pip is the 4th decimal (0.0001). For pairs quoted in Japanese yen (USD/JPY, EUR/JPY…) a pip is the 2nd decimal (0.01). Toggle the pair type so the math uses the right pip size.
What is the quote-to-account rate?
It's how much one unit of the pair's quote currency is worth in your account currency. If your account currency matches the quote currency (e.g. a USD account trading EUR/USD), it's 1.
